IMITATION WORKSHEETS
Each skill includes a worksheet that will help students practice the skill by writing sentences that are similar to the mentor sentence.
LESSON PLAN
This repeatable 5-day lesson plan includes daily 10-minute mini-lessons that will be used to teach each grammar skill.
REVISING CHECKLISTS
Each skill includes a checklist that will be used alongside a text that students have previously written. These checklists will hold students accountable for applying grammar skills in their own writing.
GOOGLE SLIDES
Each skill includes 15 Google Slides for teachers to display during instruction. Each skill will be introduced with a mentor sentence.

How is this grammar curriculum different from others?
Most grammar curriculums emphasize error correction and isolated practice activities, whereas this grammar curriculum is built on research suggesting that grammar should be taught through quality writing, i.e. mentor sentences. This grammar curriculum connects grammar within reading and writing in such a way that students will make immediate applications of grammar in their writing.
Can this grammar curriculum be used alongside an existing curriculum?
Absolutely! Although this curriculum is comprehensive, you can still use the worksheets and activities from your existing curriculum to reinforce the skills in this curriculum. However, you may find that it’s not necessary to supplement this curriculum as it provides you with a variety of activities to help your students learn and apply grammar skills.
How much time will the grammar lessons take to teach?
There are 30 grammar lessons, each designed to be taught over the course of 5 days. Each daily mini-lesson will take only 10-15 minutes to teach.
What do I do once I purchase the curriculum?
Once you purchase the curriculum, you’ll read the “Teacher directions” file first. These directions will clearly explain how to prepare and deliver each grammar lesson.
Can I share this curriculum with my colleague?
